Update: Hawaii Pineapple Industry

Aloha.
Although the Maui Land and Pineapple Co. did close its operations the Dole Plantation on Oahu still remains a tourist attraction in and is the last commercial pineapplle farm in Hawaii. This could be good for the tiki room because Dole is the sole producer and could strenghten the sponsorship. More updates on the story will follow. ALOHA!!!!!!!!!!
Well I am once again back at the airport. It is very early but all I can think about is getting to the Expo! The Imagineering Legends Discussion is what I am most looking foward to. To just be in the same room with the great minds of X Atencio, Blaine Gibson and Bob Gurr to name some is an honor. Now I am going to be attempting throughout the Expo to get audio of the discussions and things. However I have no idea how hard Disney security is going to be on stuff like that. So don't be too angry if end up not being able to make podcast for the expo. But I probably will anyway so what are you worrying about?! I will probably try to get out the park tonight to hit the Tiki Room at least once. Well I should get going. Ill get back to you after all the fun (and hectic terrible chaos) tonight!

ALOHA!!!

Well everybody I am back at my normal home for a few days until I leave again on friday for the D23 Expo. what a great trip so far! I am going to use these few days to get the podcasts I recorded ready to go and up on the internet. But there is something that would like to mention that happened yesterday. So I went into the tiki room first like I always ad I begin t record the opening spiel of the Cast Member to use on the podcast. This CM is extremely hilarious. Then towards the end of his spiel he gave his name- Maynard! Yes the legendary CM was working the tiki room! I don't spoil too much but the picture of him and me is on the homepage and I got some audio and will be having a segment on the podcast devoted to him! Well I gotta get going. I am preparing to post Episode 4! I'll get back with the updates when I return to the resort!

Rongo's Trip Update #4

ALOHA!!!!!!!! Right now I'm relaxing in my room after having ran the 4th Annual Disneyland Half Marathon! It was a lot of fun and I encourage Disney fans who want to lose weight, get in shape or just have a hooby to take up running and train for one of the races in Disneyland or Disney World! I had a great day yesterday, recording podcasts, loading up on the tiki room collectibles and of course going to the tiki room over and over again. Well I better get off the computer, I want to head back to the park and go on the tiki room!

Hey Everybody! Whew!! I just got back from running in the Mickey's Main Street 5k! It was tons of fun! Running around the resort and getting to see a lot of backstage Disneyland too! Well I was busy recording pocasts last night and I am looking foward to returning home and putting them together and posting them here for you to listen to! The tiki room has been as good as ever! There have some great cast members doing the intro that have been really funny! Well, I gotta get going to the park. The tiki room awaits!

Rongo's Disneyland Trip Update #2

Hey Everybody! Well, I'm writing this the moring of my first full day. Yesterday was great! The flight was reall fast and I enjoyed wathcing some Tiki room footage from Extinct Atrractions (I can't get enough of their DVD's and CD's). I was able to make it over to the park around 7 and go on some attractions. Tiki Room first of course! And it was as good as it always and always will be. Other attractions inlcuded the Mansion, Pirates, Matterhorn and Nemo. I was able to grab some dinner at the Stage door cafe and watch the new Fantasmic! The dragon looks great and the show is as good as it has ever been since it opened. But most importantly I picked up a shirt. Just released this week was a new edition of tiki room 45th Aloha Shirt. This time in blue and I of course had to get it! Today I plan to get the bulk of my podcats recorded. For tomorrow is the 5k race followed by the 1/2 Marathon on sunday. Talk to you guys later!
